J. Patrick Stublen

Patrick is a Los Angeles based editor and finds his inspiration in surfing, music and art and has found his education through travel the most valuable. Patrick spent his early years traveling, shooting, directing and editing surf videos, winning back to back awards for "Video Of the Year" from the most established East Coast Surf Magazine (ESM) for his collaborative effort with "Destined for Second" (2003) and "Back to the Front" (2004). He also worked with Surfing Magazine and Globe to produce 2004's "Camp Hobgood" documentary and has edited many segments that have been featured on surfline.com. Finishing school at UNC of Wilmington with a Bachelor's in Film, Patrick worked as a film loader and 2nd AC for "One Tree Hill" as well as the pilot of "Hart of Dixie" all the while editing and directing music videos in the Wilmington, NC area. Wanting to pursue editing further, Patrick moved to Los Angeles in 2011 where he has worked with such clients as Intuitive Entertainment (Millionaire Matchmaker, Pit Boss), Mnet America (Danny From LA), TMZ, MTV, as well as many campaigns including "And Two If By Sea" a documentary about twin professional surfers, The Hobgoods. His current specialities are short form storytelling and web-based commercials.
